Naruto looked at Hinata. His jaw dropped no way this was Hinata. Her dress was incredibly short hugging curves he didn’t know she had. As he looked at her she blushed even more furiously.

“Wow,” He said.
Hinata blushed furiously. The only thought going through her head was get out of there. She dashed into the dressing room closed and locked the door.

Sauske averted his eyes. He knew what would happen if he looked too long. Sakura would get him for it later. He could hear her voice now hissing at him. This is for Naruto’s benefit not yours! That was one confrontation he could do without. He glanced at Naruto and shook his head mouth wide open in surprise staring at Hinata. He sighed.

“Close your mouth idiot,” he muttered.

Naruto stared, he couldn’t stop. Here was Hinata the weird girl he knew from the academy for years who he thought of as nothing more than a friend. Looking like-like-like that!

“Close your mouth idiot,” he heard Sauske mutter. His jaw automatically snapped shut as Hinata ran into the dressing room. Thoughts were now racing through his head. Some examples: How come I never noticed she looked like that…, why doesn’t she wear clothes like that everyday…, why is she blushing…, why does Sakura look so happy?

Sakura was delighted not only did Naruto finally notice Hinata he was staring with his mouth open! She couldn’t even begin to think of the possible outcomes of this. Although she hoped that Hinata was okay, she looked pretty scared. At the very least if they did finally get together Hinata might stop blushing and stuttering at Naruto.

“C’mon Sauske lets go look at that necklace I say a little while ago,” Sakura said brightly.

“Aren’t we going to wait for Hinata,” Naruto asked looking worriedly towards the dressing room door.

“You can wait for her can’t you Naruto? Then you and Hinata can catch up later,”

“Okay,” he said hesitantly having the distinct feeling he was being set up.

“Don’t you get tired of trying to set them up like that,” Sauske asked when they were out of Naruto’s hearing range.

“Not really,” Sakura replied happily. “Now about that necklace…”
Hinata finished putting on her clothes and sighed, she’d have to come out of the dressing room sometime no matter how embarrassed she was. She was never going to try on another Sakura recommended dress again at least, not when he’s around.

She came out of the dressing room and looked up.

Naruto watched as Hinata came out of the dressing room. Behind that jacket there was no trace of the body he had seen only minutes before. And he found himself trying to figure out the reason that she would hide it. Maybe it was because she was shy…, or she didn’t feel confident…, or she didn’t want to be exploited by people like Sakura-

“Um N-Naruto,” she asked interrupting his thoughts. “W-where are Sakura a-and Sauske.

“Oh they went to go look at some necklace that Sakura wanted and told me to wait for you and catch up.” He replied distantly still thinking over reasons she would hide behind her jacket.

“O-Okay where did they go,” she asked wanting to catch up as soon as possible. She didn’t want him asking about the dress.

“I don’t know Sakura didn’t tell me which jewelry store to go to and I figured you would know,” he said finally snapping back to reality. She bit her lip. They went in to three different jewelry stores that day she couldn’t spend that much time alone with him looking for Sakura. But it seemed there was no choice she could find no other solution. She sighed, they had better start looking.

Hiashi Hyuga sat at the desk in the study of the Uchiha clan that he was currently imposing upon. No matter there was only one left to impose upon it was still imposing as the boy had to live somewhere else. Unable to go over the statements from the latest Hyuga squabble he tapped his fingers angrily on the desk. He was not happy with what he had seen that day.

He had seen his daughter and the Uzamaki boy go into a jewelry store together which didn’t sit right with him. He didn’t want her around that boy he was dangerous. He had already beaten the Hyuga protégé. And he had heard rumors that it was him that saved the village from the sand demon Shukaku and its vessel. Even so someone who welded that much power, the power of the nine-tailed fox, he didn’t want that near the Hyuga heiress. If he were to suddenly lose control near his daughter… He called in a servant.

“Please bring me Neji,” he told her. She nodded and bowed as she left the room. Neji walked in ten minutes later.

“You wanted to see me?” he asked. Since the move he wasn’t accustomed to the Uchiha compound. If he was he would have gotten there eight minutes ago.

“Neji tell me what you know about this Uzamaki boy…”
